Sale of MV "HELENE J" & MV "KLAUS J"

The Jüngerhans shipping company sells two container vessels - MV "HELENE J" & MV "KLAUS J"

In a difficult market environment, two container vessels from the fleet of the Jüngerhans shipping company from Haren, MV "HELENE J" and MV "KLAUS J", were successfully sold 19 years after being commissioned. They are sister ships which were delivered in April and June 1997 by the MTW shipyard in Wismar. At a length of 178.09 meters and a beam of 27.50 meters, the vessels at a draft of 10.50 meters have a loading capacity of 26,100 tons. They are equipped with three deck cranes having a lifting capacity of 45 tons each and have 300 reefer plugs. The main engine model SULZER 7RTA 62 U produces a power of 15,500 kw, generating a speed of 20 knots. The sale ends a successful investment for the investors who have provided the capital. Due to the partially very good financial business results in the period until 2008, the vessels have been debt-free for several years.
