The city of Haren (Ems) has been associated with shipping for more than 400 years. It belongs to one of Germany's centres of maritime activity. Today, over 20 shipping companies are located in Haren (Ems) with a fleet of more than 300 modern seagoing and inland waterway vessels. That makes Haren (Ems) Germany's third largest shipping location.

The officebuilding of Juengerhans is located in the business area "Boschstraße" since 2001. During a few years this area has become a modern base for commerce and services. Beside further shipping companies also and further maritime serviceprovider settled down in the neighborhood.

In order to fulfill the increased requirements the officebuilding was extended in 2006. In 2008 a modern storehouse was built on the estate next to the office.
